we're a family built by transracial adoption and this story reminds us that while we're not all entirely the same, we share similar traits; regardless of how similar or different we are we're all made in God's image and we're perfect in His eyes!

this book is written in the voice of dax and discusses a lot of the the things he and his mommy like to do together - things they share in common.  then, the story switches and tells the reader some things that make them different.  however, in the end it's recognized that even though mommy and dax may share some things in common, and even may be a little different from each other, they're perfect just the way God intended.
